- An early drawing c. 1517, this landscape reflects Domenico's interest in suffusing his landscape studies with human to create a sense of an Arcadian idyll that would have appealled to the elite Venetians who colelcted his drawings. As Catherine Whistler (2018, p.140) has noted, the pen marks here have a notable decisiveness and energy.
