Curator's comments: According to a note in the interleaved copy of the Malcolm catalogue this was attributed by Suida to School of Bramantino (1907) and then to Luini (1926). In August 1944 A.E. Popham moved it to Romanino. According to Suida there are two drawings in Berlin by the same hand. Lit.: J.C.
