- This is the title-page of a complete copy of the series printed by Anton Koberger (with his typeface) Nuremberg, 1498; this includes15 woodcuts, all but the last with German text in letterpress on the verso. This copy is bound in vellum with Mitchell's distinctive tooling pattern and the title: 'Die Heimlich Offenbarung Johannis' stamped on the cover.

- There are manuscript Italian inscriptions on a sheet bound in front of the title-page (on paper with an eighteenth-century watermark) which suggest that prior to Towneley's collection, the series belonged to an anonymous Italian collector, and was bound together with a set of the Large Passion (without text).
