- For an comment on the series see 1895,0122.1280. This is an early impression from the Vicentino workshop. There is no other impression of this print in the BM.
It is after a drawing by Parmigianino at the Uffizi, Florence (Inv. No. 1991F) or at the Musée du Louvre, Paris (Inv. No. 6487/1). (A. E. Popham, Catalogue of Drawings by Parmigianino, 1971, vol. I, p. 71, no. 96 and p. 156, no. 468).
