Description
An album of approximately 445 small eighteenth-century vignettes and book illustrations on various subjects, mainly by German engravers of the school of Chodowiecki. The first print a decorative border by A. Kohl after F. Catel surrounding MS title: "Küpfer v. D. Chodowicky, Fory, Küffner, Meil, Mettenleiter, Penzel, Ramberg, Sambach, Schubert [...] Vignetten [...]". Pasted into a gold-tooled leather volume with "Encyclopedie Methodique. Arts et Mecan. Tome II" on the spine. Etchings and engravings
