Plate with two rural studies on top of each other, the upper one a view of a thatched cottage against trees, built at the wayside of a country road on which two donkeys are resting in the right foreground; the lower sketch a view of a country road leading over a bridge, with a peasant herding cattle to the front in the right foreground, at middle distance two peasants, one horseback, walking into the opposite direction, the outline of a horse and cart in the left background; published scratched-letter proof, bound in a 19th-century paper binding with leather spine and edges. 1812
