Portrait of French poet Jacques Delille, bust-length directed to left and looking to front, in oval surmounted by trumpet and wreath, bunches of grape falling down the left side, a beehive and a sieve on the left, various agricultural tools on the right, and at the bottom, below the portrait, a cartouche showing a man kneeling before a group of nude women; a proof before letters. 1777
