The Soiree; a drawing room full of ladies and gentlemen; two women at the piano, another sitting in the right foreground, twisint gaway from the viewer towards a man standing with his elbow on the back of her chair, another sitting by the piano and talking to a gentleman while a fifth stands on the left, looking down modestly as she is addressed by a man standing leaning against the mantelpiece; after Lami; unlettered proof.
