Curator's comments
After the painting by Rubens in the Museo del Prado, Madrid, inv.no.P01690 (Rooses 835). This is fifth state, for impressions of first state of this plate (before retouchings by Jacques van Merle) see 1891,0414.913 and 1917,1208.489. Several members of Rubens' family, including the artist himself, are represented in this scene.
