Description
The Judgement of Paris; Paris sits at left and holds the golden apple looking towards the three semi-nude goddesses standing before him; Mercury stands in a relaxed pose with his arm resting between the branch of a tree and idly dangling a caduceus; the Goddesses stand together at right assisted by a number of putti; at upper right, amongst the branches of a tree three satyrs secretly observe the proceedings, Envy at upper centre; third state with dedication; after Peter Paul Rubens.
