Richard I in full armour on horseback, raising his battle-axe to slay a saracen soldier, with battle raging all around and a fortress in the background to left; illustration to a pocket edition entitled 'Early English History from the invasion of Julius Caesar, to the death of Henry the Seventh'; the print pasted to another sheet and surrounded by a rectangular woodcut border with scrolled decorations at the corners, printed in ochre.
