'Extracts from the mass of the Eyre Family'; containing 18 etchings showing maps and fortifications, including a large folded plate, etched by Peter Thompson after forged drawings claimed to have been done by Capt John Eyre. Together with frontispiece showing bust portrait of John Eyere, one page of text with two hand-coloured coat of arms above, and small advertisement tipped-in at first page. Bound in black leather with title in gold on red label at the front cover.

- Pencil note at the begginign: "This volume is part of a [...] set of forgeries: specimens of which still occasionally come up ib the market and may deceive the unsuspecting / Sidney Coldin".
