- From a series of four, all declared to the Printsellers' Association on 25 September 1879. The painting was commissioned by Pilgeram & Lefèvre in1877 and first exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts in 1877 (no.119) and is in Birmingham Museums and Art Gallery (1911P62).
