Description
"Landscape by Philip Gilbert Hamerton Author of 'Etching and Etchers,' 'The Graphic Arts,' &c.&c.&c. With Original Etchings and many Illustrations from Pictures and Drawings" (London: Seeley and Co.) 1885; containing 50 plates of landscape scenes including images of the Roman Campagna, coastlines, castles, woods and lakes after artists including J. M.W Turner, Claude, Camille Corot, Titian, John Landseer, Van Eyck; also includes etchings by Yon, Brandard, Stephen Parrish, Maxime Lalanne etc. Bound in imitiation vellum concealed by later red cloth binding, gold embossed title on spine: "P.G. Hamerton. / Landscape". Photogravure, etching, engraving, mezzotint, heliogravure, chine collé, and wood-engraving
