William Fitzalan, 2nd Earl of Arundel, and his Countess, Joan, from their monumental effigies in Arundel Chapel, study for plate 136 of Stothard's 'The Monumental Effigies of Great Britain', published by Anna Eliza Bray, 1817-32, one of a large group of studies for this volume; both whole-length, and seen to front, female figure at left, wearing head-dress, with coronet upon it, and resting feet on a gryphon, male figure at r, wearing long robes and resting feet on a mutilated horse, also separate study of female figure's head
