Petrarch, 'Triumphi' (Venice 1488); incunable of text only, the illustrations were extracted, mounted and catalogued individually. It is an imperfect copy, so the first page of the first chapter is hand-written on the verso of a tipped-in page after the prologue, and it shows a coat of arms drawn on the recto. The initial of the 'Canzoniere' is illuminated with gold, and other colours appear on a few other initials throughout the letterpress. In leather binding with blind-tooled motif and gilt-tooled foliage and title on the spine.
