Curator's comments
This series of 'Select Views' published by Colnaghi originally consisted of eight plates published in 1796, which were reissued in 1800 along with nine further plates of views of London. Many of the views are credited to the draughstman Miller (possibly James Miller), and the engravers Medland and Watts are responsible for the majority of the plates. A sheet of descriptive text accompanied each plate. See 1880,1113.1628 for lettered state.
