- Kept in wrappers, lettered 'A Series of Sketches in the Balck Sea, by Captain W. Hyde Parker. / Dickinson Bros. Her Majesty's Publishers, 114, New Bond Street / Price 21 s. Plain - 31 s. 6d. Colored. / Part III.'
It seems that the plates were issued loose and it has not been possible to ascertain the make-up within sets, of which there appear to have been at least two. The plates in BM P&D are kept with two sets of wrappers, both numbered 'Part III', but this has been altered in ink on one set to 'I'. Abbey describes two copies, one with loose coloured plates in wrappers numbered Part I and Part II, the other bound and uncoloured (no. 235). The wrapper for his Part II has the second 'I' overprinted in front of the first and '& 3' added in ink. He lists another known copy with the plates in a different order within three parts and adds that the publisher may have been responsible for the binding of no. 235. He notes that the price probably referred to the whole set.
