- Sir Walter and Lady Trevelyan experimented with the camera lucida while travelling in Greece and the inscriptions indicate some of these drawings were probably made using the device.
1880,0911.1450, a view of the interior of the Acropolis, is identified in the Register as being by H.W. Williams (d. 1829). A later note says this drawing was in the Department of Greek and Roman Antiquities for some years, before being returned to the Print Room in October 1956.
