- Curator's comments
- The illustrations to this work were made largely by Billings, a pupil of Britton, from sketches taken almost immediately after the fire in October 1834. The authors and Billings pounced on the opportunity to publish a work on the Houses of Parliament, following the interest in the buildings that was created from the devastating fire. Adams records 41 steel engraved plates.
