A book on the subject of the life of Lord Nelson, with a long biographical text with descriptions of his major battles, several poetic tributes and an account of his funeral, with several plates. 1806. The plates as follows:
1. A bust of Nelson in profile to the right, dressed in his dress uniform with the stars of his orders pinned to his breast and with his hair in a queue
2. The seal of the Ionian Republic of the Seven Islands with an image of a winged lion with a man's head holding spears and a scroll and standing on an island, Latin script on the border (on the bottom of a facsimile of a proclamation made by Nelson)
3. The young Nelson chasing a large polar bear over the icy landscape, with his sword drawn and a musket held in his other hand, a ship beyond
4. A view of the Battle of the Nile with the explosion of Orient
5. A view of the Battle of St. Vincent
6. A view of the Battle of Copenhagen
7. Nelson explaining his plan of attack to his officers on the eve of the Battle of Trafalgar, the Admiral seated at a table with a map in front of him, his fellow officers surrounding their commander with some seated, a map of the disposition of the ships below
8. A view of the Battle of Trafalgar
9. A facsimile of a letter from Nelson sent in 1799
10. Another facsimile of Nelson's handwriting
11. A view of Nelson's funeral flotilla passing the Monument and St. Paul's Cathedral, London Bridge to the right, crowds of spectators lining the embankment to the foreground, after Turner
12. Nelson's funeral car, modelled on HMS Victory, the coffin shaded with an ornate canopy decorated with ostrich feathers and with a figurehead representing a winged Victory on the front of the cart, drawn by sailors towards St Paul's Cathedral, soldiers standing guard on either side
13. A view of Nelson's funeral in St Paul's Cathedral, the coffin on a bier surrounded by military, naval and civilian dignitaries, two priests in the pulpit, thousands of spectators in the specially built stands with the soldiers of a Highland regiment standing guard, captured French and Spanish banners hanging from the roof
