The Infant Christ in the Sacred Heart, with the Five Wounds; a cross with the title "inri" on a scroll and a crown of thorns at the top, is fixed on a rock, before the centre of the cross is the sacred heart, and within it stands the naked child, holding a scourge and a rod, to the left a lance pierces the heart, the wounded hands and feet occupy the four angles

- In style and provenance the cut belongs to a series (Schr. 786, 1075, 1265, 1581, 1600, 1687) which were taken from a MS. Compendium theologicae veritatis, cf. Dodgson's note A.104
Schreiber's measurements (114 x 89 mm) differ from the copy at the BM. Schreiber notes it was possible that two different blocks existed.
