'Oeuvres diverses de Victor Orsel (1795-1850), mises en lumiere et presentées par Alphone Perin, peint d'Histoire Chevalier de la légion d'honneur et de Léopold 1er, membre correspondant de l'academie de Reims; cent six planches accompagnées d'un text explicatif' (Paris, Louis Perrin & Marinet) 1852-1877, volumes I and II; containing 100 pages of illustrations after Orsel, including self-portraits, historical, mythological and religious scenes, animals, landscapes, children and daily life; the last plate a portrait of Orsel by Perin. Together with dedication, preface by Perin, table of contents, biography of Orsel, and explanatory text of plates, with wood-engraved head and tail-pieces. Letterpress on title-page printed in red and black, with emblem showing cross with letters 'VO' and head of lion, man, bull and eagle. Bound at the BM bindery in green half-leather with gold tooling on spine, raised bands, marbled endpapers and deckled edges.

Lithographs by different artists, most after Orsel, and printed by different printers, dating from 1812.
