- Curator's comments
- This drawing is in fact of the cottage, built as a Gate-Keeper's Lodge to Royal Lodge in c. 1824-5 to the designs of Wyatville, George IV's architect. It survives, with later additions, as the Gardener's cottage, about 100 yards to the west of Royal Lodge. See Jane Roberts, Curator of the Print Room, Royal Library, notes in dossier and book on history of Windsor Great Park (to be published 1996).
