Street-scene; three sailors begging by the railings of a large house at left; at centre, a man with a wooden leg, holding out his hat, his mouth open to give his cry, pulling behind him a large model of a sailing ship on wheels with his left hand; at left, a man with one bare foot, the other raised behind him, leaning on a crutch, holding up his hat to a young woman leaning out of an upper window; behind, a third, also holding his hat and walking with a crutch; behind at right, a grand building with a pilared entrance with pediment. 1823
