Street-scene; a bird-seller, with several small cages strapped about his person and in his hands, standing outside a large house at right, handing up a caged bird to a girl standing on the step, on which also stand a small girl already holding a cage and a woman with her arm on the first girl's shoulders, all three delighted; behind at left, a monumental gate with a sculpture niche. 1823
