A stout, cheerful strawberry-seller in a pink dress, steadying a large basket on her head, filled with small conical baskets of strawberries, one of the small baskets in her left hand, mouth open in her cry; behind at left, a young woman bracing a basket of strawberries against her knees, a man with his arm around her waist bending low to put his hand in the basket, his head at her bosom; at right, a man with a tremendous gut walking away with a full conical basket in each hand. 1823
