- Ganz notes that Benezit cites a drawing of Venus and Cupid by Rottenhammer in Darmstadt; there is another drawing of the same subject in Frankfurt (Staedel) and another at the Hermitage.
The lettering, according to Ganz, is 'Rottenhammer pinx: // B. Lens fe: // Cum privilegio Regis // E. Cooper ex.'
