- Curator's comments
- This plate wa sfirst published by John Bowles in 1740. It was then updated to show the new Horse Guards as rebuilt by Kent in 1750-3. This impression was published with Francis West's 'Collection of Views', made up of plates from the stock of John Bowles and his successors, and published c.1840.
