- The drama was written by Giulio Strozzi and designed by Torelli, performed in the Borbone in Paris in 1645. See Silvia Bracca, 'L'occhio e l'orecchio, immagini per il dramma per musica nella Venezia del '600', Treviso 2014, pp.163-73.
De Vesme notes that only the background, with its view of Paris, was executed by Stefano della Bella himself; the standing figure is by Nicolas or Noel Cochin (see Bjurstrom p.134).
