- This is from an edition of Baculard d'Arnaud's 'Les Epreuves du Sentiment, published in 6 volumes by Delalain (vol. 1: 1772; vol. II, 1772; vol. III, 1775; vol. IV to VI, 1775-78).
The plates were engraved by Binet, De Ghendt, Halbou, De Launay, Lingée, De Longueil, Macret, Née and Ponce, after designs by Eisen and Marillier (vol. I-III); and by Delaunay jeune, Fessard, De Ghendt, Godefroy, Halbou, Legrand, Massard and Texier after designs by Le Barbier and Marillier (vols. IV-VI).
Head- and tailpieces were also published separately, as 'tirage à part'.
