Landscape, Caernarvon Castle with polygonal battlemented towers and small turrets surrounded on three sides by water, a house built on the shore against the castle walls to the left, a mountain in the distance to right, ships on the water, seen from the opposite shore, where a woman and child talk to a man who carries a bundle and staff in the forergound, while another man leads a pair of horses drawing a laden cart along the path behind him. 1777, published 1779

This plate was excluded from the four main sets by Sandby, who may have issued it separately in 1779, given the altered publication line. It is numbered 'XII' and may have been intended originally as the last plate of the third set. See 1864,0213.56.
