- Curator's comments
- See 1904,0819.34 and 1904,0819.427 for related drawings in BMP&D, the former without figures annotated 'P Sandby' by William Sandby, according to Oppé, the latter with figures, annotated in the same way 'T Sandby'.
See also Roberts, cat. no. 18 and Oppé 53, for a discussion of the attribution of these and other related drawings: given Paul's greater facility with drawing figures and the fact that Thomas appears among them, it has been suggested that several of the drawings may be by Paul instead of Thomas.
