A shepherd boy sitting under a tree, partly draped in a cloak, leaning on his right elbow on a ledge in front of the tree, playing a shawm for a little dog who dances, standing on his hind-legs; with a sheep and goat grazing to right and landscape with a river in the background; the inscription effaced.
