Thackeray, 'The history of Samuel Titmarsh and the great Hoggarty diamond' (London, Bradbury & Evans), 1849; containing 8 full-page lithographs, with titles: 'Behind the hay-ricks', 'A black sheep', 'A coromet, buy jingo!', 'Mr Roundhand looks out of window', 'Mr Brough's Ball', 'The common lot', 'The judgment of Solomon', and 'Over head and ears in love'. Together with illustrated title-page, frontispiece titled 'The Rosolio', preface by the author, table of contents, list of illustrations and publisher's advertisement. Bound in white boards with illustrated title-page including profile portrait in a medal at the front cover, within ornamental border, and publisher's advertisement at the back cover.
