- MS note in Popham - cf. letter from Prof G Callender, Jan 20th 1936. This drawing represents the capture, by three English ships, of a Spanish treasure galleon ... in 1628. The engraving of this published by Monolius, 1630, in National Maritime Museum, Greenwich. The van der Straet attribution is clearly impossible. MS not on mount: "de Gheyn circle. MRK".
