A satirical broadside on Oliver Cromwell with an engraving showing the interior of a church; on the left Cromwell with a serpent's tail wearing the papal tiara topped with peacock feathers, a sword hanging behind him and an owl hovering above, preaches from a pulpit, the side of which shows a scene in which the ghost of Bernhard Knipperdolling (1490-1536), the Münster anabaptist and executioner, rises from a grave to hand a book of doctrine and a sword to Cromwell behind whom stands an officer. An angel beside Cromwell in the pulpit draws attention to two open windows, the left with a view of the Battle of Worcester (3 September 1651), the right showing a sea-shore with plundered goods being being sold; the congregation consists of men women and children some of whom are sitting on stools; in the foreground on the right, a small boy is picking a woman's pocket; in the background, to right, in a side chapel up some stairs, a group of women discuss doctrine; with engraved lettering A-D, and with letterpress title, text, verses, and legend in three columns.
