Photograph of twenty-nine scenes in five rows taken from cards in the Popish Plot Pack pack (see Willshire English 186, etc.), all labelled with explanations: the Pope and Cardinals hatching the Plot in Rome; the Great Fire of London; Godfrey taking Oates's deposition; Oates reveals the Plot to the King and Council; murder of Edmund Berry Godfrey; Godfrey's body taken in a sedan chair from Somerset House; then by horse to Primrose Hill; his funeral; Prance names the alleged murderers to the King and Council; execution of alleged murderers; Coleman paying ruffians to kill the King; four ruffians setting out for Windsor on horseback; Pickering's lies in wait to kill the King in St James's Park; Coleman writing letters to Père La Chaise; Bedloe taking letters abroad; Redding attempting to corrupt Captain Bedloe; Redding pilloried; Everard imprisoned; execution of 5 Jesuits; Ashby receiving instructions from Whitbread on behalf of the Society of Jesus to offer money to Sir George Wakeman; Ireland and Grove drawn to execution; Coleman drawn to execution; Sir William Waller burning Popish books and images; Pickering executed; Gifford and Stubbs giving money to a maid to fire her mistress's house; Captain Berry and Alderman Brooks given money to blame protestants for the Plot; Dugdale reading letters relating to the Plot; Whitbread made Provincial; Stafford's beheading.
