Curator's comments: Other impressions are in Worcester College (Oxford) and Washington. The picture shows the fountain in its original state as constructed between 1610–1612 (the fountain bears the date of 1612 ‘MDCXII’), while the present semicircular pool was added no sooner than 1690, thus the print is after a design from before 1690.
