The inscription describes the sitter as a ‘Monsignore’ of Cardinal del Giudice. The cardinal in question is likely Niccolò del Giudice (1660-1743), although if the caricature dates by 1725, it could also refer to Cardinal Francesco del Giudice (1647-1725). See also 1871,0812.906
