‘Poems by Thomas Buchanan Read. Illustrated by Kenny Meadows’ (London, Delf & Trubner), 1852; containing head and tailpieces illustrating some of the poems: ‘A song’, ‘A butterfly in the city’, ‘The summer shower’, ‘Midnight’, ‘The two doves’, ‘The stranger on the sill’, ‘Song for a Sabbath morning’, The nameless’, ‘The way, ‘A night thought’, and ‘The Marseillaise’; most images showing cherubs or angels. Together with vignette of a cherub with butterfly wings on title-page, advertisement, and table of contents. Bound in brown at the BM bindery with gold lettering at the spine.
