- Curator's comments
- The book was almost certainly acquired as a complete copy, and was then broken up with the intention (never realised) of incorporating the prints in the series of 'Authorities for Artists'. For the companion volume by Grose of 'A Treatise of ancient armour and weapons', see 1870,0514.2229 to 2249.
1870,0514.2197 has been catalogued separately.
