A half-timbered house with casement windows, which bears the sign 'Swan and Maidenhead', with a man wearing a top hat and short coat, emerging from the doorway, over which is a picture of a swan, carrying a jug and pipe, onto the flagged pavement, where a man is standing talking to a woman and pointing to left, towards the adjoining building, a butcher's shop, above which hangs a board labelled 'Immortal Shakespeare was born here April 20th 1564'.
