Satire on Lord Bute and his determination to end the Seven Years' War. An altered state of BM Satires 2458, with the wig of the "Colossus" shortened to resemble that of Lord Bute rather than Robert Walpole; the Garter star has been added to his right breast. The plate has been cut down to remove most of the lettering at the bottom; the word "English" changed to "Scotch", Bickham's address on the scroll removed and replaced by the words "Dam ye South Britain all my Country shall come In".

- This is an altered state of BM Sat.2458. The head of Walpole in that has been changed here to Bute, the text has been cut off, the word 'English' in the title replaced by 'Scotch' and the name of Bickham removed. See G.S.Layard's cataligue of portraits from altered plates, 1927, no.112.
