Satire on the duel between John Wilkes and Lord Talbot on Bagshot Heath on 6 October 1762, suggesting that both men were afraid: "Fear [was] the Victor of the Day". An etched view of the duel with the protagonists shaking hands and discharging their pistols in the air; Wilkes's second cries, "Dead for a Ducat" (Hamlet, III.4) while Talbot's cries "Mist by G-"; a body hangs from a gibbet in the distance. Eleven letterpress verses below to be sung to the tune of Chevy Chace.
