The Motion
Description
Unmounted fan-leaf with a satire on the parliamentary motion to remove Robert Walpole from office showing a coach drawn by six horses moving along Whitehall, a version of BM Satires 2479, the only substantial differences being the addition of two more hogs beside the Bishop of Lichfield and the removal of the verses beneath the etching to the righ-hand part of the scene thus obscuring the building on that side. 1741 Etching
