Venus, seated nude and seen from behind, clinging to Adonis and looking up at him in an entreating manner, he, to left, dressed for the hunt and with two large dogs, attempting to leave her; Cupid leaning against a branch (?) and holding a dove to right, his quiver lodged in a tree; rays of light breaking through the clouds above hills at left; reversed copy after Titian; proof before letters. c.1762-79

The painting is in the National Gallery of Art, Washington. The pendant to this print is the "Death of Dido", Le Blanc 20.
