Portrait of Sir Peter Warren, three-quarter-length, slightly turned to the right, one hand on his hip and the other gesturing behind him, in a tricorne hat over his powdered wig, wearing a frockcoat with a sash over one shoulder held at his side with a medallion, the hilt of his sword protruding from the skirts of his coat, his waistcoat embroidered in a floral pattern, the star of the Order of the Bath on his breast, the assault on Louisberg behind with troop transports rowing to the far shore where the fortress is wreathed in smoke, a naval engagement and bombardment to the right, his arms below chequy ermine with a canton embalzoned with a saltaire, the crest an arm embowed vambraced holding an arrow, the supporters two seamen armed, a garter about the shield with the motto "Tria juncta in uno" and "Chace" below with scrolling foliate designs
