- Description
-
The Queen marches towards the throne, putting a foot on the dais and holding up on a pole a pair of breeches. A string attached to her left arm encircles the King's neck; he wears a cumbrous petticoat, which he kilts up in order to adjust his pace to the Queen's, whose skirt he holds; he registers angry distress, saying, Am I not the K—g'. A small crown is poised on the Queen's curled coiffure. The profiles of both are flatteringly drawn. Behind (right) Wellington and Cumberland point and whisper. c. May 1832
