- Text from 'An Illustrative Key to the Political Sketches of H.B.', London 1844:
The two greatest of living warriors, the Duke of Wellington, and Marshall Soult, Duke of Dalmatia, are represented as the supporters of peace, social order, commerce, trade, agriculture, and the arts and sciences; and very properly are they so represented, for to them has happened the very rare opportunity, and in them has been found that rare combination of talents which enabled them, to serve their respective countries as eminently in peace as they had done in war.
